Network Upgrade Study

GTE was engaged to provide expert consultation for a client’s Process Control Network (PCN) upgrade study. The objective of the study was to help the client assess and address critical gaps and risks within their existing PCN, enabling them to better prioritise and plan a structured program of upgrades.

The study focused on several key issues, including:

• Hardware reaching end of life
• Software approaching end of life
• Cybersecurity vulnerabilities
• Non-standard network designs
• Limitations in network growth capacity
