Ashley Ingham

Executive Director

Ashley is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with extensive experience across the mining and rail industries, having worked on projects in Africa, Europe, and Asia.

His expertise spans various processes, including iron ore, magnetite, uranium, lithium, rare earths, and diamonds, both above and below ground.

Known for his drive to achieve operational excellence, Ashley is committed to delivering projects that prioritise operability and maintainability for long-term success.

Darren Bowles

Executive Director

Darren is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and Fellow Engineer with deep expertise in electrical engineering, automation, and autonomous mining.

He has a wealth of experience in process control and autonomous systems, having held senior roles at leading mining companies such as BHP and Rio Tinto.

Darren’s innovative approach and industry knowledge have enabled him to develop cutting-edge solutions that optimise safety, performance, and operational efficiency.

Michael Gibson

Executive Director

Michael is an Executive Director and founding partner of GTE, with a strong background in Control Systems. A graduate of the University of…

A graduate of the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Engineering, he is also a TÜV Rheinland-certified Functional Safety Engineer.

With over a decade of experience in the resources industry, Michael has held roles in maintenance, operations, and project management. His systematic approach and attention to detail consistently deliver process improvements and efficiencies, ensuring a high return on investment for GTE’s clients.

Shane Jones

Non-Executive Director

Shane brings over 20 years of experience in managing engineering and infrastructure projects across industrial, mining, oil and gas and commercial sectors.

He was the founding Managing Director of Melchor and is currently the Managing Director of Firesafe, both award-winning contracting companies specialising in multidisciplinary construction services.

Shane has held board positions with Merredin Energy, Perth Energy, Enerdrill, and Aust-Asia Energy, and currently serves as a Non-Executive Director for Assuro, Petro Australis, and Hoperidge Engineering. His extensive leadership and industry experience drive innovation and operational excellence across complex engineering projects.

Wayne Peel

Non-Executive Director

Wayne Peel is the former managing director of engineering services firm Engenium and has more than 25 years of international experience in engineering projects, technology delivery and the corporate environment across a wide range of industries.

He is skilled in navigating complex business environments, growing revenue, driving profitability, building succession and enhancing operational maturity. Wayne is a values-based leader with a passion for sustainable business growth and cultural alignment from the board through to frontline personnel.

Andrew Taylor

Engineering Director

Andrew is a TÜV certified Functional Safety Engineer and trainer with over 25 years of experience in engineering design, PLC, HMI, SCADA, machine safety, hazardous area certification, software development, project implementation, and project management.

Andrew is a Chartered Professional and RPEQ-certified engineer in amusement rides and devices, IT and electronics engineering, and electrical engineering. Andrew has led multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects across diverse industries, always with safety as a priority.

He has held senior leadership roles, managing large engineering teams and delivering major automation and infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally.

Tom Wlodarczyk

Project Delivery Manager

Tom is a seasoned project management professional with over 25 years’ experience in project delivery and project controls across a wide range of industries and disciplines, including engineering, process control and automation, business systems and ERP, information technology, education, and local government.

He has successfully managed projects ranging from large, complex initiatives to extensive portfolios of sustaining projects. Tom’s pragmatic approach drives measurable outcomes by ensuring clarity and strong collaboration across project teams and processes.

He also brings extensive experience in designing, establishing, and operating Project Management Offices (PMOs).

Tyler Mosdell

Functional Safety Manager

Tyler is a Functional Safety professional with over 10 years of engineering experience, including more than 7 years as a Functional Safety Subject Matter Expert.

He has led technical teams across complex rail, automation, and industrial environments.

Tyler has been heavily  involved in the development of Functional Safety Management Frameworks and Rail Safety Engineering Frameworks, with continued involvement in the governance and independent peer review of complex rail, and automation projects. Tyler specialises in the corporate governance of functional safety, delivering pragmatic, fit-for-purpose safety systems that balance operational needs with effective risk mitigation across the full safety lifecycle.

Matthew Howard

General Manager - East

Matthew brings over 25 years of global experience in the design and delivery of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control (EIC) systems across a range of industries. He ensures the commercial and technical success of projects by leading engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Matthew’s expertise lies in the Brownfields mining sector, where he has extensive knowledge. Matthew has a proven track record of delivering effective engineering solutions, from large-scale design projects to the optimisation of existing installations. He is highly skilled in managing resources to meet client requirements while maintaining budget and schedule discipline.
