GTE group were engaged by a client to commission a replacement medium voltage drive for a conveyor system at short notice.
The original medium voltage drive had failed with an input transformer fault and required immediate replacement. GTE provided 24/7 coverage to change out the failed drive and commission a new drive ahead of schedule to minimise production impact.
Tasks included:
- Installation supervision
- Power up drive control power and medium voltage
- Drive parameterisation
- Verification of drive input and output waveforms
- Drive tuning
- Performance testing
- PLC and SCADA compliance checks
The drive was also interfaced to the site iba data acquisition system using the SiMVD interface. This allows for continuous high-speed data acquisition.
